I liked the idea of making a piece of art to leave in the school for ever and ever and I'm happy to be a part of the project. My piece of art I made was half an earth (which we all live upon together) the liberty torch (to represent unity) and hands holding the torch ( to show us holding together) then on the bottom I wrote United We Stand just as a bold statement to stand out.

This project got me thinking. Why do we need to contribute for our country and what exactly are our roles. Isnt it supporting our country at all times but then i dont get anything in exchange except the fact that i label myself a loyal citizen. and if i vote for the person i think is fit, i do not know him except for his education biography. but then i asked myself if we were all ignorant then how will our democracy work. wouldn't democracy turn into a dictatorship? i am torn between these ideas. but i cannot help myself especially when i see people become concieted and selfish and forget about the others. Whem they present their ideas as if they matter the most, more than anything in the world. but then i think again and ask myself not trying to convience myself that if there were not any opposers how boring would our lives be? Our opinions matter most to us and no one can change a thing about that. but then when we are trying to make a statement we should reason completely think of the outcomes, make mistakes and learn from them. Citizenship is not a thing that pops out of our minds every day but it is a hot and intense topic that should be focused in depth. it was a good thing that this project was presented to us young adults so as to share our feelings and ideas on government ties to citizenship.it was brilliant and worth while!
